Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. My name is Manoj. I’m from Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. My mom and dad make a vow to God that our first child will be given to God for his ministry. They keep on saying to me from childhood to this date that one day I need to work for the Lord. But as for me, working for the Lord is at my convenience and in my free time. God planned it as full-time pastoral work; I planned it as living in the world and supporting the pastor financially. Years went by, no clue where I was heading, not interested in studies. Neither good at the ministry nor good at character, I did not consider God‘s plan; rather, I planned it for my master’s of technology engineering studies. I was living in my dreams where God had to stop me, and I got an accident. I was bedridden for six months. I was looking for God's plans in my life. I asked the Lord, whether it was his will. I wanted a sign to recognize that.

Amazingly, God answered my prayer and granted what I asked for. Without a doubt, I want to come for ministry, but which type of ministry is God calling me? I waited for one and a half years till I got cured. My journey to find out God’s will started by enquiring which type of ministry among the fivefold ministries. Again, I got confirmation with a sign from God as a pastor ministry. I searched a lot of colleges, then I chose Union Biblical Seminary, Pune. God has provided all the financial needs in those years. God expanded my ministry boundaries. I worked not only in my church but also in other churches too. God opened doors to work among the Nandyal diocese, Christ Church pastorate 1, Kurnool. I worked for seven years at Kallur Telugu Baptist Church.

Jesus put a strong sense of burden to learn and do ministry in a much more effective way. Here I took a bold step not to be the Senate of Serampore, where theology is too contextualized and the gospel is compromised. When I searched all the colleges' prospectuses, SAIACS drew my attention. I was fascinated by the fine academic standards and still not compromising the evangelical heart. I prayed hard and attempted the entrance exam, and by the grace of God, I got an admission. Till the day I entered the campus, the learning happening in me had a huge impact on my personal life and made me a more responsible minister of Jesus Christ.

God bless you all. I thank God for leading me here at the perfect time in the perfect place. Put your trust in Jesus, our lord; His plans are always mighty and marvelous. Amen.
